Simplicity is key in new Ortovox collection
Outdoor clothing brand Ortovox has put a strong focus on lightness and functionality in its new collection for winter 2017/18.

The collection, which it has creatively named Naked Sheep, features simple designs that have no unnecessary weight so that the wearer can focus on enjoying their outdoor pursuits. Ortovox has also worked hard to ensure all of the products offer high levels of protection and comfort.

The lightweight Merino Naked Sheep Ortler jacket and pants are designed for alpinists. Merino wool is used in specific areas of the products to offer increased comfort. The jacket features the DermizaxNX membrane from Japanese textile manufacturer Toray to ensure it is breathable, windproof and waterproof.

The collection also includes the Merino Light Skin Tofana Pants, which feature Tasmanian merino wool for optimum temperature control. They have an abrasion resistant and protective outer layer, as well as adjustable ankle cuffs made with a four-way stretch Cordura fabric to fit over the wearer’s touring shoes.

The final product in the range is the Swisswool Hybrid Piz Roseg, a lightweight insulated jacket for ski tourers. It features a super light front wool lining to protect from the wind and a protective, breathable fabric from Toray on the front. Merino wool is incorporated into the arm and back area to help regulate temperature.
