Sympatex says safety shoes are a good fit for Moisture-tech

Functional materials developer Sympatex Technologies has said it will present “modular functional garment systems” for the corporate wear and workwear sectors at the A+A 2015 trade fair in Düsseldorf (October 27-30).

Sympatex has added new laminates made from recycled and recyclable PES materials to its portfolio. It will also aim to show visitors that its Moisture-tech waterproof lining laminate solution can work well in safety footwear. Moisture-tech wicks moisture from the foot through an inner lining into a hydrophilic intermediate layer.

Surplus moisture is “buffered” there, the company says, and cannot go back into the inner lining thanks to a suction effect that directs the moisture towards the outside.
