Sympatex and Sinterama to show off ‘New Life’ laminates in Munich
Functional materials developer Sympatex will present new outer and lining materials made of recycled PET bottles at the upcoming Performance Days functional fabric fair in Munich.
The biannual fair takes place on April 20 and 21 and Sympatex will take the opportunity to showcase the laminates which have been developed with the collaboration of Italian Yarn specialist Sinterama, whose range of ‘New Life’ yarns have been certified according to the ‘Global Recycle Standard.’
According to Sympatex, the materials offer “diverse applications in the fields of sports, fashion and leisure.”
Ahead of the event, Sympatex has also partnered with experts in thermal insulation Thermore to create a waterproof cotton wool liner made of 100% recycled PES.
“In combination with our 100% waterproof and windproof as well as optimally breathable Sympatex membrane, the recycled PES outer materials offer a top performance,” said Haymo Strubel, Director of Apparel at Sympatex.
