Technical footwear brand makes a move in China

Italian hiking, trekking and mountaineering footwear brand Gronell was one of the companies to make its debut in the Chinese market at ISPO Beijing this year.

Gronell is a family firm, established in 1937, that still makes boots and shoes for tough terrain in a traditional way with leather uppers, but incorporating up-to-date technology including lining materials from Cambrelle and PrimaLoft, membrane technology from OutDry, eVent and Sympatex, and soling technology from Vibram.
