Swiss sportswear brand X-Bionic has wasted no time in offering to replace Puma as the official supplier of shirts to the Swiss National Football Team. A succession of Swiss shirts ripped during the team’s match against France in Lille on June 19. On June 20, X-Bionic issued a press release saying it was ready to take over from Puma.

It said its alternative shirts, made from high-tech Swiss fabric in factories in Italy, would be able to withstand “the toughest conditions”. It pointed to the “hundreds of awards” X-Bionic has won for product quality and durability.
