X-Bionic selects new production partner
21/02/2018
Earlier this month, sportstextiles.com reported that X-Technology has decided not to continue its relationship with Italian group Trerè Innovation. The 20-year partnership will come to an end of May 1.
Norman Group, based in northern Italy, will produce X-Bionic’s collection for spring/summer 2019. Its products will now be made using ‘Retina High Definition Technologie’, which employs a considerably higher number of needles to achieve a fine knitting resolution.
X-Technology has said its new production partner is capable of delivering a production volume of 40,000 items per day and 12 million items per year.
From May 2018, X-Technology’s own sales force in Germany, Austria and Switzerland will take over relationships with trading partners for sales of future collections; it will work with “selected established agencies” to do this. In other regions, its products will continue to be marketed by independent distributors.
X-Technology has also announced that Intersocks will be the new production partner for its X-Socks brand, starting from spring/summer 2019. It said Intersocks already produces 35,000 pairs of socks per day for a wide range of providers.
