Lifetime achievement award for X-Bionic founder

22/07/2019
The founder of Swiss outdoor clothing brand X-Bionic, Professor Bodo Lambertz, has been given a lifetime achievement award by a programme that recognises innovation in technology, sport and lifestyle.

The Plus X Award recognises brands for their creation of innovative products. Sectors it covers include consumer electronics and sports accessories.

Professor Lambertz founded X-Bionic in 1998. He has dedicated himself to the development of performance-enhancing functional clothing and has been responsible for the creation of a range of innovative apparel technologies that have made his company a respected name in this sector. X-Bionic has been recognised by the Plus X Award jury for eleven consecutive years.

Now, its founder has become just the seventh person to receive the organisation’s lifetime achievement award. Previous recipients have included Sir James Dyson, Amar Bose and Professor Hartmut Esslinger.

Professor Lambertz received his award at a ceremony in Cologne on July 10.
