Thermore presents 100% recycled insulation for apparel

Insulation technology brand Thermore is now using 100% recycled fibre in its entire Ecodown product range. The fibre is derived from post-consumer plastic bottles.

According to Thermore, Ecodown is now the only synthetic product on the market made entirely from this recycled material and allows the reuse of a considerable number of bottles that would otherwise have ended up as waste in a landfill site.

The 100% recycled insulation doesn’t require any special quilting restrictions or fabrics and can be washed or dry cleaned normally. It is highly durable and provides long-term reliability for a garment.

Thermore has been working on the development of insulation made from recycled fibres since the 1980s when it became the first company to introduce thermal insulation made from PET bottles.
