Thermore’s latest insulation offers 40% stretch

Insulation producer Thermore has described its latest product, Freedom, as “a new type of synthetic thermal insulation designed for what consumers expect from their outerwear in modern times”.

It uses millions of micro-gaps to adapt around the body and offers up to 40% stretch and recovery.

Thermore Freedom was tested with a force of 10 N and it could still recover to its original shape, says the Italian company.

It suggests the 60 gram version could be used for pants, while 80 and 100 gram products are suitable for lightweight outdoor jackets and the 150 gram filling is ideal for outerwear.
