Quebec-based cycling apparel brand Garneau has won a Eurobike Award at the 2016 Eurobike exhibition in Friedrichshafen (August 31-September 4). It picked up the award for its ‘DreamFactory Trilogy Concept’.

The DreamFactory Trilogy Concept centres on allowing customers to personalise the look of a complete cycling outfit, including helmet and (making the trilogy complete) even including the bicycle. Once the customer has agreed a design with Garneau, the company produces the apparel and the bikes are hand-painted. There is a choice of 25 colours and there is no minimum order.

Company president and head of design, Louis Garneau, said in reaction to receiving the Eurobike Award that the concept allows riders to create “the bike and kit of their dreams”.

Mr Garneau was Canada’s individual pursuit champion in 1978 and represented his country at the Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980.
