A new generation to lead cycling brand Garneau
Quebec-based cycling apparel brand Garneau has announced William Garneau, son of the founder Louis, will take over as general manager.

His father will remain in his role as ‘President Designer’ and will continue to have a say on the creative direction of the brand and its seasonal collections.

William Garneau is a former national level bicycle racer, who competed for Canada at the Junior World Road Championships in 2007. He was educated in the US and has already filled several roles at the company, including managing its DreamFactory personalised bike programme and overseeing Garneau’s procurement and sourcing department.

“It’s a proud day for me,” said Louis Garneau. “I’ve always wanted to see my children take an active role at the company and felt that the time was right to finish my pull and let them take the lead.”

Louis Garneau’s other son, Edouard, is the brand’s director of sales in the US and his daughter, Victoria, will join the company after completing her college studies in Fashion Design.
