Kelheim develops a static dissipative viscose fibre

30/09/2016
Viscose fibres manufacturer Kelheim has developed a new product that provides static dissipation. The fibre has electrically conductive additives at its core.

Initial tests with these fibres have shown a significant increase in its electrical conductivity in comparison to a standard viscose fibre.

Kelheim has suggested protective workwear for electrostatic discharge as a good potential application, but said there are many possible uses of the new fibre.
