Lectra launches “smart” version of Vector solution
Textile technology provider Lectra has presented the latest version of its Vector fabric-cutting solution, which it says will help companies in the fashion, automotive and furniture industries improve their performance.

The Vector iQ features Lectra’s Eclipse continuous cutting technology, which was previously only available on higher-end models. It increases productivity by up to 10%.

The update also includes predictive maintenance to help reduce the risk of machine downtime and stoppage. Proactive diagnostics and recommendations allow customers to achieve up to 98% machine availability, according to Lectra.

The data collected during these diagnostics can be analysed in real-time and compared to normal operating parameters. This allows Lectra’s customer care team to alert customers to potential technical issues before a breakdown occurs.

“The Vector iQ is a sophisticated yet accessible new breed of fabric-cutting solution, enabling tremendous gains in productivity and uptime,” said Céline Choussy Bedouet, chief marketing and communications officer at Lectra.
