RYU turns to Polygiene to combat workout odour
11/01/2017
The collection, which RYU has called Vapor, has been designed to better handle sweat during intense workouts. It features a range of lightweight tank tops and t-shirts for men and women.
The garments have a larger cross section of nylon and polyester yarn to increase surface area so that sweat can evaporate faster. It also features engineered mesh zones knit with seamless technology to increase airflow.
Polygiene’s technology will allow the wearer to stay fresh throughout their workout routine. It does so by inhibiting odour-causing bacteria and fungi.
“We’re always searching for ingredient partners that will help us elevate our designs,” said Juliet Korver, RYU product director. “The Polygiene treatment helps our new Vapor collection reach that “no compromise” zone, where you can work out hard and stay fresh regardless.”
“We are excited about our partnership with RYU and to expand our partnership roster with a core training brand that shares many of our values,” added Christian von Uthmann, CEO of Polygiene.
