OutDoor organisers say earlier dates worked well

Across the four days, the total number of visitors to the event was 21,412 and the number of countries represented was 90. Visitor numbers were, therefore, flat compared to the total in 2016. The number of exhibitors at the fair in 2017 was 965.
The chief executive of organiser, Messe Friedrichshafen, Klaus Wellmann, said: “OutDpor is an important marketplace and compass for the global outdoor
industry.” He said new show dates, which this year brought the event forward in the calendar by one month, had met with “widespread approval”, providing an “optimal basis” for the coming business year.
Dates for the show in 2018 will be June 17-20. Next year OutDoor will celebrate its twenty-fifth anniversary.
