In terms of volume, Skechers said only that it had achieved an increase of 11.4% in the number of pairs of shoes it shipped in its wholesale business in the US, but it failed to give a figure for the number of pairs of shoes involved. It did say that the average price per pair decreased by 4.5% in this part of the business.
Chief operating officer, David Weinberg, said on announcing the figures that 48% of Skecher’s revenues now come from outside the US. He added: “We believe the greatest opportunity for expansion is internationally, and we are investing in our infrastructure and marketing to support this progress.”
