Interbike to say goodbye to Las Vegas in 2018

The Interbike trade show will take place in Reno-Tahoe, Nevada from 2018, the organisers have announced. 

The event, which is owned by Outdoor Retailer organiser Emerald Expositions, currently takes place in Las Vegas. The next edition will take place there in September 2017, but after that it will move to Reno until at least 2022. 

The first show in Reno will take place from September 18-20, 2018. It will run from Tuesday to Thursday to allow the retailers and exhibitors that attend to travel home for the weekend. 

Among the reasons Interbike gave for choosing Reno were the hotels and restaurants available, the affordability of staying in the area, and the ideal weather conditions in September. It also highlighted a growing outdoor recreational market in the area and the improvement of travel routes to the local airport.
