Organiser of Outdoor Retailer files for IPO

Emerald Expositions, which organises a range of trade events including Outdoor Retailer, Surf Expo and Interbike, has filed for an initial public offering (IPO).

In the filing, the company said it operates more than 50 trade shows. Of these, 18 are dedicated to the sports industry. 

It declared revenue of $323.7 million in 2016, 5.7% higher than the previous year.
