Lubrizol shows commitment to textile industry

Specialty chemicals company Lubrizol has announced plans to upgrade its textile coatings centre of excellence in North Carolina, US. 

The facility, which is located in the city of Gastonia, focuses on the research and development of coating technologies and textile and nonwoven substrates. It creates and tests solutions for a range of technical textile applications. 

“By upgrading our capabilities, we continue our longstanding commitment to the textiles industry,” said Bob Bonner, technical manager. “This investment expands our ability to deliver a wide range of textile coating and testing services for customers, including flame retardancy, abrasion resistance, water repellency, chemical resistance, and stretch-restriction capability.”
