Junior collections help Anta to record first half

Chinese sportswear brand Anta Sports achieved record revenue of 7.32 billion yuan ($1.1 billion) in the first half of 2017, an improvement of 19.2% compared to the same period of last year.

Footwear sales increase 18.1% to 3.39 billion yuan ($500 million) and revenue from apparel was 3.68 billion yuan ($550 million), 21.7% higher year on year. 

Anta also posted record first half profit of 1.45 billion yuan ($220 million).

Although the company didn’t release detailed figures, it revealed that its junior product lines had performed especially well during the sixth-month period. It said the Anta Kids brand is “well placed to capture the growing demand for kid’s sportswear” and that were “tremendous opportunities” for future growth. There was also strong growth from the Fila Kids collection.
