New brand president for K2

Skiwear manufacturer K2 has named John Colonna as its new brand president. In this position, he will oversee sales, marketing and product for all K2 brands, which include K2 Skis, K2 Snowboarding, K2 Skate, Ride Snowboards, Atlas Snowshoes and Madshus Nordic Skis. 

Mr Colonna has held leadership roles at Burton Snowboards, Nike, Levi’s and Converse during a 20-year career. His most recent position was as global vice president of apparel and accessories for Converse. 

K2 was purchased by private equity firm Kohlberg & Company in July 2017. This deal was part of Kohlberg’s acquisition of the winter sports brands of consumer product group Newell Brands.
