Radici makes sure the cap fits for Milan students

Last year, Radici worked with students to develop protective garments for the Lombardy Alpine Rescue Corps. On this second occasion, the focus was on developing sailing caps with ultraviolet protection.
Radici introduced the students to a selection of technical yarns that it picked out for use on the project and then worked with the students, cap and hat specialist Master and sailing sportswear brand Slam to develop the new product.
“Students chose their materials from the range of synthetic fibres proposed by RadiciGroup,” Marco De Silvestri, marketing director of the comfort fibres business area, said afterwards. “They matched the functions of the different parts of the cap with fibres to ensure high levels of UV protection and to make sure the cap will be capable of retaining high-performance characteristics over time.”
