Messe Frankfurt acquires UK subsidiary

Tradeshow organiser Messe Frankfurt has expanded its international network with the acquisition of UK-based group Forest Exhibitions.

The company said its decision was motivated by the high number of exhibitors and visitors from the UK that come to its exhibitions in Frankfurt.

Wolfgang Marzin, president and CEO of Messe Frankfurt, explained: “It is important for our company to promote commercial exchanges at European and global level at our 30 trade fair locations around the world. In addition, the UK is an attractive trade fair and export market for our international customers.” 

Messe Frankfurt is responsible for a range of exhibitions, including Intertextile Shanghai, Techtextil and Apparel Sourcing USA. Over the past two years it has expanded its presence in Africa and India with the acquisition of a number of events.
