Pentland Brands appoints new directors

Pentland Brands has announced the appointment of three new directors to head up its fashion footwear (Ted Baker and Karen Millen), team sports (Canterbury and Mitre) and Berghaus brands.

Vice-president for strategic customers at Pentland, Charlotte Cox, will be the new director of team sports brands Canterbury and Mitre, while Kevin McFadyen is appointed brand director of outdoor brand, Berghaus. He will join the business in September.

On the footwear side, Nicola Mathews was appointed brand director for fashion and will head up the Karen Millen and Ted Baker footwear businesses.

At the time of the announcement, chief executive, Andy Long, said: “We’ve made significant progress in transforming Pentland Brands; we’re now a simpler business, with a leadership structure designed to give brand directors a more consumer-focused role in leading brand growth. Nicola, Charlotte and Kevin bring a wealth of commercial brand-building experience to our business and will play a critical role in leading our brand strategies.”
