Helly Hansen develops exclusive insulation system with Primaloft

Norwegian outdoor brand Helly Hansen has worked in partnership with insulation technology provider Primaloft to develop Lifaloft.

A combination of Primaloft materials and expertise with its own proprietary Lifa moisture management and insulation fabric technology, Lifaloft will make jackets feel “lighter yet warmer”, Helly Hansen said.

Thanks to a lighter fibre structure, it explained, LifaLoft insulation is 20% lighter than standard. It added that the construction creates more air pockets giving more warmth at lower weight, again compared to standard insulation.
