Performance Days to put the focus on water
The next edition of the Performance Days exhibition (November 28-29) will put the spotlight on new technologies for reducing water consumption and preventing water pollution during the manufacture of textiles.

The focus topic of the event will be: ‘Water – Our Responsibility’.

The organisers explained that this theme was chosen as the textile industry “plays a very significant role in creating waste water and water pollution in the production of fibres and fabrics”.

The topic will have its own dedicated space in the exhibition hall. It will also be the subject of a number of expert discussion groups on the second day of the fair. They will be led by respected industry figures, including Sophie Bramel, technical editor of WSA Magazine, who will discuss how to reduce waste pollution in the oceans in a panel talk entitled ‘Sourced in the Seas: Ocean Waste Fibres’.

The November 2018 edition of Performance Days will be the first to take place at the Messe München site in Munich. It follows the biannual event’s decision to move away from its previous venue in the city, the MTC exhibition centre.

More information about the next Performance Days can be found on the exhibition’s website.
