Performance Days to recognise ‘outstanding innovations’

12/11/2018
The organisers of Performance Days have announced the winners of two awards that will be handed out at the next edition of the exhibition, which takes place from November 28-29.

They have been chosen by an independent jury panel.

The Eco Performance Award has been given to Taiwanese company Jou Jou Fish for a recycled nylon laminate. It features a membrane produced without solvent and a fabric made from solution-dyed fibres. The DWR coating is applied using a dry-finish treatment.

The winner of the Performance Award is Japanese company Green Threads for a lightweight, tear resistant functional fabric. It features especially fine nylon yarns and is said to offer the same tear resistance as a much heavier material.

The two awards will be presented on the first day of the exhibition following an expert talk on fabric trends for winter 2020 delivered by textile specialist Ulrike Arlt.
