Performance Days: Functional fabrics can be beautiful too
21/02/2019
“The pursuit of beauty has always been a motivation for development in many different sectors,” they said, adding that the fair aims to show that beauty is also applicable to functional fabrics, which it describes as a “must have” in the textile industry.
May’s exhibition will put the spotlight on functional fabrics and materials that are attractive as well as highly suitable for use in sports and performance products. As for previous editions, the best examples will be on display on the ‘Focus Topic Wall’ and accompanying boulevard.
Expert talks on the second day of the fair will also focus on this topic, with speakers already lined up including textile expert Ulrike Arlt, designer Nora Kühner and performance director Graeme Raeburn.
It will be the second time the exhibition takes place at the Messe München site, following a successful debut in November. Around 300 exhibitors are expected to take part, this time occupying hall C6 of the grounds.
