Functional Fabric Fair doubles in size for 2019

The second edition of the Functional Fabric Fair in New York (July 22-23) will have more than 120 exhibitors, double the number who took part in the inaugural show in 2018.

The event is a joint project between US trade show organiser Reed Exhibitions and the organisers of the Performance Days exhibition. It made its debut last year, with more than 800 industry figures registering to attend.

This year, the sold-out exhibition will showcase a wide range of textile manufacturers, suppliers and services providers. They will present functional fabrics, treatments, laminates, finishes and accessories, among other things. 

There will also be a complimentary conference programme, which will feature presentations from a range of industry leaders. The focus topic for this edition is ‘Water – Our Responsibility’, mirroring the theme of last November’s Performance Days exhibition in Munich.

This will not be the only US Functional Fabric Fair taking place in 2019. In January, Reed Exhibitions announced it would launch a second annual show in Portland, the first edition of which will take place in October at the Oregon Convention Centre.
