Organisers ‘energised’ by response to Functional Fabric Fair

It gave official figures of 1,100 visitors for the event’s launch edition in 2018.
This year saw more than 130 textile manufacturers exhibit at New York’s Javits Centre, nearly double last year’s number.
Steve McCullough of Reed Exhibitions, which organises the show, said the organisation was “energised” by the response from the textile industry to this latest Functional Fabric Fair. He added that the aim was to “raise the bar even higher in all aspects of the event”.
In addition to the exhibition space, there were also a number of expert talks, which addressed topics like trends, sustainability and technological advances.
This will not be the only US Functional Fabric Fair taking place in 2019. In January, Reed Exhibitions announced it would launch a second annual show in Portland, the first edition of which will take place in October at the Oregon Convention Centre.
