Hohenstein to send speakers to Functional Fabric Fair

24/06/2019
The Functional Fabric Fair has unveiled details of the complimentary conference programme that will take place at its next edition, which runs from July 22-23 in New York.

The programme is built around the focus topic ‘Water – Our Responsibility’, which was also the theme at November’s Performance Days.

Research and testing body the Hohenstein Institute will feature heavily on both days. Representatives of this organisation will cover topics including cooling technologies, process control and microplastics.

Other speakers scheduled to deliver presentations are designer Nora Kühner and Diana Wyman, technical director of the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC).

“We are especially pleased to work with the prestigious Hohenstein group to welcome such an esteemed body of industry leaders to present the ‘Expert Talks’ series of presentations,” said Steve McCullough of organiser Reed Exhibitions.

“While the speakers represent the best in our industry, the topics also are timely to help attending industry professionals learn the latest information to grow their business, enhance their career and address textile industry water sustainability initiatives.”

This will not be the only US Functional Fabric Fair taking place in 2019. In January, Reed Exhibitions announced it would launch a second annual show in Portland, the first edition of which will take place in October at the Oregon Convention Centre.
