Former Polygiene CEO takes senior role at HeiQ

Former chief executive of odour-control technology provider Polygiene Christian von Uthmann has become the new chief sales officer of rival odour-control technology company HeiQ. Mr von Uthmann updated his profile on LinkedIn to reflect his new position at the end of November and HeiQ confirmed the appointment to sportstextiles on December 1.

Christian von Uthmann stepped down as chief executive of Polygiene in January 2018 but remained with the company in the role of vice president for new ventures and strategies. Ulrika Björk, who joined Polygiene as chief finance officer in May 2017, took over as chief executive.

In April 2018, Polygiene confirmed the departure of Christian von Uthmann. Three months later, it announced it was filing criminal charges against its former chief executive amid allegations of serious fraud and breach of trust.

Polygiene told sportstextiles it wished to make no comment about Mr von Uthmann’s move to HeiQ.
