Smart factories ‘an essential step’ for Hyosung
Fibre manufacturer Hyosung is to introduce a new ‘smart factory’ system that it says will increase product quality and boost capacity at five factories in which it makes its Creora spandex product. The factories are in China and Vietnam.

This new system, Hyosung TNC, makes it possible to manufacture products “of identical quality” in different facilities, the company has said. Other benefits are increased “flexibility for innovation”, reduced waste and enhanced sustainability.

Group chairman, Hyun-Joon Cho, has described the idea as “an essential step” as Hyosung strives to remain competitive and to reduce its carbon footprint.
