Hyosung opens overarching ‘technology centre’

Hyosung, the world’s largest manufacturer of spandex, has opened a technology centre in South Korea to strengthen “quality management”.

Staff there will oversee the technical operations of Hyosung’s major facilities in the textile, advanced materials and chemical sectors.

“We are not content with the idea that the world’s number one products mean the world’s number one technologies. We will achieve ‘technology convergence’ by adding technology to technology,” said Hyosung Chairman Hyun-Joon Cho.

Hyosung owns the Creora elastane brand and supplies nylon and polyester yarns and fabrics to the sportswear industry.
