Hyosung and Lenzing to present joint-collection of fabrics at ISPO

Lenzing and Hyosung have joined forces to prepare a new fabric collection for ISPO 2019 (Munich, February 3-6), which the two companies have said will showcase “the sustainable benefits” of their leading brands, Tencel and Creora.

At the time of the announcement, Lenzing’s head of business development for the active and outdoor market, Andreas Gürtler, commented: “The combination of natural softness, comfort and performance from Tencel, and the power, fit and recovery of Creora elastane allows us to offer customers new products for sports and leisure clothing with unrivalled sustainable credentials.”

The marketing director for Hyosung’s performance textiles business in Europe, Simon Whitmarsh-Knight, explained that the collection’s sustainability claims centre on using less energy and water to create the fabrics. He added that this is just the start of Hyosung’s co-operation with Lenzing.
