Hyosung prepares for its Performance Days debut

16/04/2019
Fibre manufacturer Hyosung will exhibit at the Performance Days exhibition for the first time in May. Its focus for its debut will be on recycled fibres and fibres that enhance performance and comfort.

At the next edition of the show, which will take place in Munich from May 8-9, Hyosung will present a collection of specialty recycled fibres, including Mipan regen, a 100% pre-consumer recycled nylon fibre, and regen, a 100% post-consumer recycled polyester fibre.

In addition, it will display a number of fabrics that incorporate Creora elastane fibres, created to improve performance and comfort. It has explained that this ties in with the exhibition’s theme ‘The Beauty of Function’, which aims to put the spotlight on multifunctional fabrics with applications in fashion. For Hyosung, this has led it to display its low heat settable Creora eco-soft product and Creora Black, a dope-dyed black elastane.

Discussing the company’s first participation at Performance Days, Hyosung’s EMEA marketing director, Simon Whitmarsh-Knight, said: “Consumer expectations for their apparel continue to rise, fuelling the ongoing trend for multi-purpose products – fibres that are cooling, breathable, moving moisture away from the body and, of course, are sustainable & recyclable.”
