Former Invista marketing leader joins Hyosung

Former global marketing leader for activewear and outdoor at fibre producer at Invista, Simon Whitmarsh-Knight, has joined the textiles business unit at Hyosung, becoming its marketing director for Europe.

Mr Whitmarsh-Knight brings more than 25 years’ experience in the textiles, apparel and sporting goods industries, having worked for Hackett menswear, Sealskinz and sports brand Mitre, as well as Invista.

At Hyosung, he will be responsible for expanding the marketing team and for the promotion of specialty Hyosung fibres and fabrics, including Creora spandex and Mipan nylon. He will manage joint development and promotional programmes with key industry partners, as well as working on  industry topics such as sustainable innovations.
