Chemours outlines its goals for 2030

The company’s CRC is built on three pillars: an evolved portfolio, inspired people, and solutions that benefit the planet. Chemours describes it as “a cornerstone” of its move from transformation to growth.
Its ten goals for 2030 are the backbone of the report. They include:
• A restructuring of its portfolio to ensure it can make “specific contributions” to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals;
• Cutting the intensity of its greenhouse gas emissions by 60%;
• The building of a more diverse and inclusive workforce. This will include one with 50% women, as well as work towards achieving a 20% ethnically diverse US employee base;
• A 99% reduction in fluorinated organic compound emissions to air and water;
• A greater insistence on its suppliers to be more responsible throughout their business.
