Experienced figure to lead Vaude’s apparel division
German outdoor brand Vaude has named Stefan Lörke as the new head of its apparel division. He will be responsible for product management and technology for all of its apparel lines.

He succeeds Aaron Bittner, who has managed this division for four years and has been with Vaude for more than a decade. He is moving on to take on new professional challenges. 

His successor has extensive experience in product management and product marketing in the outdoor industry. Mr Lörke’s roles have included director of the outdoor apparel international business unit of sportswear group adidas. 

Of his new role, Mr Lörke said: “Vaude is facing up to today’s challenges and is active on a number of issues, including counteracting both climate change and the poor use of resources. Meeting these demands in functional outdoor and bike apparel and finding innovative solutions is a challenge that I find both exciting and motivating.”

Uwe Gottschalk, head of products at Vaude, paid tribute to the new hire’s “wealth of experience” in the outdoor industry. He also said Mr Lörke embodies the values of the Vaude brand.
