Kraig Labs adds first biological engineer to research team

Kraig Biocraft Laboratories, a developer of spider-silk based fibres, has hired its first biological engineer.

The company says she is already developing stronger transgenics and shaping the company’s direction. 

Chief scientist Trevor Kane said: “She is extremely impressive with her depth of knowledge and experience with sericulture, recombinant proteins, spider silks, and material properties.

"She has already made several important contributions to our R&D and I am looking forward to future breakthroughs.”
