Flat knitting solutions provider Shima Seiki will participate in the Preview in Seoul, which takes place in the South Korean capital from August 28-30.

In the build-up to the event, the textile machinery manufacturer said that recent trends such as increased online shopping have changed supply chain requirements, with growing demand for mass customisation and short turnaround.

It said its Wholegarment knitting technology, which allows a garment to be produced in its entirety without the need for linking or sewing afterward, along with its SDSONE APEX 3D design system, can offer “game-changing flexibility in the knit supply chain” to support this shift.

Shima Seiki said the SDSONE APEX4 system will make its Korean debut at the Seoul event.
