Textile technology companies are invited free of charge to showcase their sustainable solutions at the upcoming Sustainable Apparel Forum in Dhaka, Bangladesh. The forum, which runs concurrently with the Bangladesh Denim Expo, takes place 5th November. 

Event organiser and CEO Mostafiz Uddin said the decision to allow relevant companies this opportunity to exhibit cost-free at the ‘Sustainability Centre’ will help speed adoption of new environmental technologies in Bangladesh.

“It is a personal mission to bring more green technologies to Bangladesh,” said Mr Uddin. Earlier this summer, Mr Uddin partook in negotiations that saw the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGMEA) join the UN Climate Change’s Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action (UNFCCC) initiative. “I have a desire to help the textile industry in my country become a worldwide leader in sustainability.”
