Thread changes direction with new name and focus

                        Describing 2019 as “warmer, weirder, and definitely plastic-ier”, it said: “Despite plenty of statistics telling us that things are actually getting better, it sure doesn't feel that way to us.”
Since in launch in 2011, the company has diverted more than 96 million plastic bottles from landfills and the ocean and spent $3.2 million with those companies collecting and recycling the PET.
It will tell the story of its supply chains in Taiwan, Honduras and Haiti through the project name First Mile, and will share stories on social media.
“We want to eliminate single-use plastics and shift more responsibility onto producers, and in the meantime, we’re creating ways for all of us to help clean up the mess,” added the company.
Thread has collaborated with brands including Reebok, Ralph Lauren and Timberland.
