PPE provision bolsters DuPont

The provision of personal protective equipment (PPE) helped to buoy DuPont’s second quarter sales, but revenues fell 12% to $4.8 billion due to the pandemic.

Its Tyvek protective garment markets achieved double digit revenue growth for the second consecutive quarter (see WSA article – Race for protection gathers speed).

"In the midst of the ongoing pandemic we delivered results ahead of expectations, while also continuing our emphasis on the safety and well-being of our employees and the needs of our customers," said CEO Ed Breen.

“I am proud of our team's focus on execution, and I am confident in the actions we have taken to mitigate the impact of this pandemic. I believe we are well-positioned to emerge from this as an even stronger company."
