Merrell undyed shoes “made clean to get dirty”
Outdoor performance brand Merrell has launched a collection of trainers with all-white undyed uppers made with partially recycled mesh and natural rubber outsoles.
The Undyed Collection is said to reduce water use by 80% and save 50% overall energy through the production process, compared to traditionally-dyed shoes.
The collection includes eco-friendly versions of popular trail shoes, including Agility Synthesis 2, MTL Skyfire and Vapor Glove. Marketing photos for the shoes show a pristine white unworn trainer, then a pair that’s become muddied with use, with the tagline “made clean to get dirty”.
