Partners put Celliant into viscose fibres

15/01/2021

Hologenix, the creator of Celliant infrared responsive textile technology, and viscose fibre manufacturer Kelheim have celebrated the success of a joint project at ISPO 2021.

ISPO is virtual this year, but the Munich event’s ‘best products’ competition is still running and one of the finalists in the fibres and insulations category is a new product, Celliant Viscose.

This product embeds minerals into plant-based cellulose fibres to create products that capture and convert body heat into infrared, increasing blood circulation and improved oxygenation. This can help athletes achieve the highest possible level of performance, faster recovery from tiredness and injury, and sleep better.

In the build up to the event, which runs from February 1-5, Hologenix co-founder and chief executive, Seth Casden, said Celliant Viscose was “a sustainable infrared solution that can be integrated into everything from cotton to luxury wools and cashmere”.

He and Kelheim’s head of business development, Dr Marina Crnoja-Cosic, both said the new product would have a wide range of possible applications.
