Columbia creates chief digital information officer role
Outdoor group Columbia Sportswear has appointed Skip Potter to the newly created role of chief digital information officer. He will take up the post on April 1 and will become an executive vice-president of the company.
Mr Potter has spent four years as Nike’s chief technology officer and, before that, worked for financial services provider Capital One and for British Telecom.
Chief executive, Tim Boyle, said this was a continuation of the transformation of the business, adding that “elevating” Columbia’s digital capabilities would be a critical component of the success of the group in the years ahead.
