Zhejiang Runtu obtains Oeko-Tex ‘eco passport’
Local media have reported that specialist Chinese dye manufacturer Zhejiang Runtu has obtained an Oeko-Tex “eco passport”, meaning that the company’s disperse dyes, reactive dyes, direct dyes, cationic dyes and vat dyes do not contain toxic or hazardous substances.
The passport also signifies that Zhejiang Runtu’s dyes have been produced in a safe and sustainable environment and conform to the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (ZDHC MRSL) 2.0 level 3.
Among other commercial benefits, eco passport holders can reportedly apply for government subsidies of up to 50%.
