Under Armour reveals its ‘fastest running shoe yet’

Sports brand Under Armour recently unveiled the Flow Velociti Wind, dubbed its “fastest running shoe yet”.

The running shoe rests upon a Flow cushioning system, which eliminates the need for what would usually be its heaviest part: the rubber outsole.

New for 2021, Flow (first seen on Stephen Curry’s Curry Flow 8 shoe) is a soft, supportive foam with a natural tack to enable grip in all conditions.

The foam technology has triumphed over 11,000 miles of wear testing.

A branded knit Warp upper, with supporting, seatbelt-inspired “tapes”, sits atop the flexible Flow base. The shoe’s structures flex only when pressure is applied, enabling reactive and adaptive support that, reportedly, won’t pinch the wearer’s foot.

Thanks to the trainer’s lightweight design, a men’s US size 9.5 weighs only 8.5 ounces (roughly 240 grams).

Vice president of global footwear at Under Armour, Josh Rattet, commented: “We have been deliberate and focused on our quest to build an authentic and credible running brand over the past few years. The Under Armour Flow Velociti Wind is truly a testament to our team’s commitment to creating solutions that make all runners better.”
