ViralOff helps Polygiene increase revenues in 2020
Antimicrobial technology provider Polygiene has reported revenues of around $10 million for 2020, an increase of 22% compared to 2019.
Chief executive, Ulrika Björk, said on announcing the figures that Polygiene had signed more than 100 new agreements with customers during 2020, most of them connect to the ViralOff anti-viral technology that it launched in April last year.
She said: “ViralOff has opened the door to new product areas, such as cleaning supplies, accessories, sprays and floors,” Ms Björk said. “These are new product areas for Polygiene since the company has primarily focused on odour control and stay-fresh solutions. It was, however, a natural next step to expand business beyond textiles due to the increased demand for protective anti-viral treatment of hard surfaces and materials.”
The chief executive said there continued to be strong demand for antimicrobial treatments in textiles as well as for hard surfaces.
